You chose a quit date. Keep the distance from it visible.

One ordinary day can feel much like the next. AND COUNTING keeps the elapsed time concrete: set the date once, then let the number grow without a cigarette log, diary or daily check-in.

No cigarette log. No quitting programme. Just your date and the count since it.

MY COUNT 74 DAYS AND COUNTING

The distance from it keeps growing — without another dashboard to maintain.

You don’t need another dashboard to know how long it’s been.

A counter cannot quit smoking for you. It can simply show how long it has been since the date you chose, and stay out of the way the rest of the time.

01

See how long it’s been

You do not have to work it out. The count shows how many days have passed since the date you chose.

02

Keep it private if you want

Show a phrase when it helps, or keep the reason private with Days only.

03

Nothing to log every day

No cigarette log, cravings diary or daily completion action is required for the count.

Research on goal-progress monitoring more broadly suggests that making progress visible can support goal pursuit. That is not evidence that AND COUNTING improves quit rates. It is a personal date counter, not smoking-cessation treatment. If you use a quit-smoking service, clinician, medication or other support, the counter is designed to sit alongside it rather than replace it.

I stopped smoking. I know a simple number can mean a lot.

The quit date is one day on a calendar. What comes after is lived one ordinary day at a time. To somebody else, the count can look like almost nothing. When it is yours, you know what it means to have got there.

THE FEELING

I did not want another app asking me to prove I was smoke-free. I wanted something quieter: pick up the phone, see how long it’s been, and carry on with my day.

That lived experience informs AND COUNTING, but the app still only records elapsed calendar time from the date you choose. It does not know what happened after that date and it does not grade the journey.

Mark the day once. Let the calendar do the counting.

A smoke-free counter can be useful without becoming a second quitting programme. AND COUNTING uses the start date you choose and keeps the elapsed calendar days visible.

There is no requirement to log cigarettes, cravings or daily completion. The app does not claim to verify smoking behaviour; it simply keeps the time since your chosen date in view.

The practical questions, without turning the count into another quitting programme.

Is this a quit-smoking treatment app?

No. AND COUNTING is a personal date counter and does not provide cessation treatment or make effectiveness claims.

Do I need to log every smoke-free day?

No. The count is based on the date you set, not a daily completion log.

Can I hide the phrase?

Yes. The Days-only presentation is designed for situations where the meaning is personal.

Can the count stay on my Lock Screen?

AND COUNTING supports native Lock Screen and Home Screen widgets; iOS controls their placement and refresh timing.

The date already means something. See the count.
